The centre was founded in 2020 on the initiative of Manuele Biazzo and Christian Duchow, with the goal to become the bridge between health care professionals and the microbiome. SkinDuo™ is a unique one-of-a-kind product developed by The BioArte, that is composed of 2 separate products that simultaneously target gastrointestinal health and skin homeostasis. When addressing imbalanced skin, it is also important to not only provide treatment to the skin but also assist in rebalancing the gut microbiota.
SkinDuo™ is a product that does just that. The formulation has been carefully selected and is composed of a topical mono-dose serum and a food supplement.
The initial target disorder is acne. According to Dr. Manuele Biazzo, CEO of The BioArte: “It is well known that the issues of acne are also related to a microbial imbalance on the skin, which leads to the production of excessive sebum and an inflammation of particular areas of the skin, including the face. We developed a technology able to investigate this aspect further”
SkinDuo is unique because it treats the disorder with probiotics, taking advantage of the good microorganisms that we already have. These need to be fed and given the chance to grow and further promote a balance on the skin and in the gut.
